Chef Mikko, a Nordic cook best known for his time spent as the Executive Chef for the Finnish Embassy, expanded his successful catering business to include a storefront and restaurant and needed a website completely devoted to his new culinary endeavors.

My Role

My role in this project was to develop all text and content for Chef Mikko’s website.

Cooking & Community

From each headline to the corresponding body copy, the text reflects the mission of Chef Mikko’s restaurant: to unite community through cuisine.

Plating a Page

The website required copy that aptly described Chef Mikko’s modern take on traditional Nordic cuisine while maintaining the warmth and relatability Mikko constantly exudes. The content, like the cuisine, needed to be fresh, but elegant, and highlight Chef Mikko’s sustainable cooking practices.

Simple, but Rich

The finalized copy mimicked the feel and presentation of Chef Mikko’s dishes—versatile and indulgent creations comprised of simple ingredients.
